Schools to provide meals for children through extension of USDA Summer Food Service Program

Lawrence County School District is currently participating in the Summer Food Service Program. This extension of the Summer Food Service program allows all children ages 0-18 to receive a meal each school day. The program began Monday, September 14, and will extend through December 31.

Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. There will be one meal pick-up each day and each meal will include breakfast and lunch.

Meals will be available for pick up each school day from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Monticello Elementary School, Rod Paige Middle School, New Hebron Attendance Center, Topeka Tilton Attendance Center and Lawrence County High School.
